Celeste Holm _A Malvada(All About Eve)

A atriz norte-americana e vencedora do Oscar Celeste Holm morreu, aos 95 anos, na tarde deste domingo (15) de causas ainda desconhecidas. As informações são da emissora de TV NY1.

Holm sofria do coração e se recuperava de uma forte desidratação.

O estado de saúde da atriz teria se agravado após um incêndio que atingiu o apartamento do ator Robert De Niro no dia 8 de julho. Dentro do mesmo prédio viviam a atriz Celeste Holm e seu marido, Frank Basile.
Nascida em Nova York e de origem norueguesa, estudou arte dramática na Universidade de Chicago e estreou na Broadway em 1936 . Assinou com a 20th Century Fox em 1946 e nesse mesmo ano actuou no seu primeiro filme, Three Little Girls in Blue. No terceiro filme em que participou, Gentleman’s Agreement (1947), ganhou o Óscar e o Globo de Ouro de melhor Actriz Secundária. Foi indicada mais duas vezes ao prémio da Academia de Artes e Ciências Cinematográficas , por Come to the Stable (1949) e All About Eve (1950).

Dando preferência ao teatro , Celeste participou em poucos filmes nos anos 50 , entre eles os musicais Tender Trap (1955) e High Society (1956). Em 1954 conduziu programa próprio na televisão , chamado Honestly Celeste. Nas as últimas duas décadas, Celeste apareceu regularmente na televisão, em mini-séries , filmes e séries . No cinema fez Tom Sawyer (1973) e 3 Men and a Baby (1987).

Possui uma estrela na Calçada da Fama , localizada no número 41 da Hollywood Boulevard .
